The bull shark is an animal that typically lives near heavily populated areas, such as tropical coasts. It is a very abundant species. It is not bothered by brackish or fresh water, and even ventures inland through rivers and tributaries.
They can be found roaming the shallow, warm waters of all the planet’s oceans. These fast and agile predators feed on anything within their reach, such as fish, dolphins, and even other sharks. Humans are not part of their regular diet. However, they frequent the murky waters of estuaries and bays, and often attack people by accident or out of simple curiosity.
Currently, the bull shark is not a threatened or endangered species. However, in many places they are fished for their meat, skin, and oil, so their population is likely declining. A study has revealed that their average length has decreased significantly in recent decades.
The bull sharks dive is the best option y if you are a diver and if you are in Playa del Carmen between November and March.
